What a sweet kiss from Sorren |
|
These are my new silly boos. I got them April 24, 2005 after several
months of debate. When I lost Castor and Pollux I wasn't sure I could go through more heartache and loose another precious
rattie. But those months without rats in the house were just as hard and my heart still ached. So I found out about some dumbo
brothers, whom I named Sorren and Cecil, that were going to be coming up for adoption as soon as they were weaned. It
was the LONGEST 2 weeks but I waited.
|
You'd think I never fed them LOL! |
When I went to the store to get the ratties I had been impatiently
waiting for, I saw another beautiful rat, whom I named Delphiniums Blue. He just jumped out at me with his
adorable little face and unique markings and said, "adopt me, adopt me!" So I did the only thing I could...I got all three!!
They are getting along great and the dumbo brothers have excepted Delphinium like he was one of them. OH I'm just so in LOVE!!
So sorry boys but... |
|
I just don't think you fit anymore! LMAO! |
All grown up but still trying to be little boos LOL! I've since taken their box
out of the cage, they just don't fit. They are all even bigger now then they were in this picture. They have a newer tube
hammock that they love and they all fit quite nicely in it. I'm so glad that they all get along so well even if Delly isn't
Cecil and Sorren's actually blood brother. If the ears weren't a dead give away you'd never know;o)

Delphinum |
|
Striking a perfect pose |
Delphiniums Blue is total nut job LOL! He's insanely hyper and absolutely loves
to clean my teeth, my hair, my neck, my fingers, you name it, he seems to think I'm also a rat. But we have a great cuddly
moments when I can get him to calm down. After only having him for 4 days I could get him to lay on his back bruxing while
I rubbed his tummy! What an awsome moment:)
|
This boy just can't take a bad picture |
Seriously? |
|
Could there be anything more precious than this? |
So my Delphiniums Blue has gotten all big and flubby and is a bit bigger
than the dumbo brothers. He is my buddy and we are true friends. The thought of Delly always makes me smile. I love my other
boys very much but Delphiniums and I have a special bond that I don't have with the other two. Dels ALWALYS wants to be with
me and he spends most of his time sitting by the cage door waiting for me to come get him. And man does this boy like to give
out the kisses or clean your face and hands LOL! Delphiniums is also very daring and has been trying to explore the house
even though he's not suppose to. And one of my most favorite things about Delphiniums is that he's only the second rat I've
had in 10 years that will lay on his back for me and let me rub his tummy. And I mean full on tummy rubs, to where he
falls asleep and his whiskers twitch becasue he's in dream mode. That is truly special to me:o)
Waiting for mommy to come get him out to play. |

You better not pee on Mommy's bed!! |

Sorren |
|
Putting every effort into a good long sniff |
Sorren is just a little sweetheart. While Delphinium and Cecil are off running
around like psycos, Sorren is just happy to sit in my lap wrapped up in a towel. I like this because I can just enjoy petting
my little boo and rain kisses upon him, I just hope he'll start giving kisses back. I'm so excited to have Sorren because
I've never had dumbos before and I can't get over how cute his little ears are:)
|
Sorren is a little shy about taking pictures |
My sweet boy |
|
is all grown up now and is a big boy. |
My boys have gotten big and flubby now and it's like they've always been apart
of my life. Sorren is a little more skiddish than when he first joined the family but he still loves to cuddle.
After exploring the chair I sit in he finds a comfy place on or next to me to take a nap. And an unusaul thing about Sorren
is that when I brought him home he was a PEW but now he has the weak markings of a Himalayn.
Sleepy Sorren... |
|
doesn't fit in this litter box anymore. |
Sorren |
|
King of all Rats!! |
Always cleaning |
|
yet never seems to get that tail cleaned *YUCK* |
|
Cecil |
|
On of my dumbo brothers looking so freaking adorable! |
Cecil was real nervous when I first brought him home and it lasted about 3 days.
But out of nowhere this courage exploded and he's become a great explorer and climber and has become fearless of the dog.
He usually joins Delphinium in the grooming detail of my hands and face. Having two ratties desperately clean what they have
deamed "dirty" is just hysterical and I have a hard time not laughing. Well sometimes I let a little "ouch" slip out of my
mouth when they get too agressive. I'm really glad to have gotten Cecil because he's a dumbo version of my ratties, ^Dover
Cliffs^, ^Castor^ and ^Pollux^ and that brings back happy memories of ratties I really loved:)
Wondering how far is to far.... |
|
down to the hard floor. |
Cecil has become very independent so he declares the rules when we hang out together.
He decides how long he wants to sit with me before he heads back to his cage and he only tolerates so many kisses before he
puts both front paws up and pushes you away with much irritation. But if Cecil is in the right mood, he'll curl up into a
little ball next to my lap when I'm sitting in my chair and take a little nap... as long as I don't make any attempt to bother
him LOL!
Not fitting as well as he use to in his box. |
|
They grow sooooo fast! |
Sitting still just long enough to get a picture. |
|
Cecil was actually spending some time with me... |
|
This was during our cuddle time on my chair. |
